# Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Haven, a mobile application
published by LGCI Ventures Inc ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading or using
Haven, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
## 1. What Haven Is
Haven is a devotional application that generates personalized daily devotional
content using artificial intelligence, alongside a Bible reader, prayer list,
and reflection features.
Haven is a tool for personal spiritual practice. **It is not a substitute for
pastoral care, professional counseling, medical advice, or mental health
treatment.** If you are experiencing a crisis or need professional support,
please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
## 2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Haven. If you are under the age of
majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Haven only with the involvement of a
parent or guardian.
## 3. AI-Generated Content
Devotional reflections, prompts, and summaries in Haven are generated by
artificial intelligence based on the information you provide.
- Scripture passages are retrieved from licensed, canonical Bible translations
and are not generated or paraphrased by AI.
- Surrounding reflection and commentary text is AI-generated and may contain
errors, or may not reflect the theological position of any particular tradition
or denomination.
- AI-generated content does not represent the views of LGCI Ventures Inc.
You are responsible for exercising your own judgment regarding any content
Haven presents.
## 4. Subscriptions and Billing
Haven offers optional paid subscriptions ("Haven Premium"):
- Monthly: $4.99 USD per month
- Annual: $29.99 USD per year
- A 7-day free trial is available to eligible new subscribers.
Prices may vary by region and are shown in your local currency at the time of
purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least
24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be
charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Free trial. If you subscribe with a free trial, you will not be charged
until the trial ends. Canceling at least 24 hours before the trial ends avoids
any charge. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a
subscription during the trial period.
Managing your subscription. You can manage or cancel your subscription in
your device Settings under your Apple ID > Subscriptions. Deleting the app does
not cancel your subscription.
Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled
by Apple according to their policies, and we cannot issue refunds directly. You
may request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
## 5. Your Content
Reflections, prayers, and other text you write in Haven remain yours. We claim
no ownership over your content.
To generate personalized devotionals, some of the text you provide is
transmitted to our AI processing provider. See our Privacy Policy for details.
## 6. Data Storage and Loss
Haven currently stores your content locally on your device. **We do not maintain
a copy of your data on our servers, and we cannot recover it.** If you delete
the app, reset your device, or switch to a new device, your Haven content will
be lost.
## 7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Haven for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code
- Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or access premium features
without a valid subscription
- Use automated systems to access or interact with the app
- Submit content designed to manipulate the AI into producing harmful,
abusive, or otherwise inappropriate output
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
## 8. Bible Text and Third-Party Content
Scripture in Haven is provided under license from third-party publishers.
Copyright notices for each translation are displayed within the app and are
incorporated into these Terms by reference. Bible text may not be extracted,
redistributed, or reproduced except as permitted by the applicable license.
## 9. Intellectual Property
Haven, including its name, design, and original content, is owned by LGCI
Ventures Inc and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
## 10. Disclaimers
HAVEN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL
BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR
SUITABLE FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES.
## 11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LGCI VENTURES INC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE
FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM
YOUR USE OF HAVEN. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US
IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
## 12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be
communicated through the app or by updating the effective date above. Continued
use after changes constitutes acceptance.
## 13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [ESTADO], United States, without regard
to conflict of law principles.
